The Northern California Life Insurance Association, or NCLIA, was founded in 1964. As a non-profit organization, the NCLIA consists of several life insurance companies, long-term care insurance companies, exam vendors, and reinsurance companies. Generally, there are four meetings held each year, one of which is an annual Holiday Party. The meetings take place in March, May, October, and December. The purpose of the meetings is to not only provide continuing education, but also provide opportunities for members and guests to socialize and meet with other persons in the insurance industry. The NCLIA will invite Medical Directors, Lab Directors, Specialists and/or persons with expertise in their field to speak at the meetings. Past discussions include presentations on a wide array of medical topics to avocations.
